Whilst the UK is pushing out a \u201cFibre for All\u201d policy, this will not be complete by the time the switch off comes in 2025<\/a> and for those who can\u2019t get a full fibre connection yet, a new service called SoGEA will help.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t In short it is an alternative to the existing copper based telephone lines and networks we have all been using for over 100 years.<\/p>\n SoGEA stands for Single-order Generic Ethernet Access. The connection offers the same capabilities as FTTC. The difference is that SoGEA lines don\u2019t include a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) line.
