How to check Bandwidth metrics

Logging into the Customer Panel

Go to panel.exa.net.uk and log in.

If you do not have a login for panel.exa.net.uk, the Exa Support team can create one for you. Providing you are an authorised contact on our system, all you will need to do is email our Support Team on helpdesk@exa.net.uk.

You will then find a list of your sites. Once you've selected the relevant site, select the service and use the tabs below for details on how to check usage for different connectivity products.

You will then find a list of your sites. Once you've selected the relevant site, locate the "Broadband" section on the left. Within this you can click into the Broadband circuit of interest. This will provide you with detailed information relating to the selected circuit.

From this page you can see the IPs relating to the circuit such as the public IP range assigned under the customer network, the gateway IP and the PPPoE information that will be used on the router to bring the circuit online.

Broadband Usage Graphs

Within the circuit page, on the left you will find the "Usage" option. Selecting this should display a graph providing a clear overview of the Download and Upload usage data for the last 30 days, as illustrated below.

You can zoom into specific time frames to get a closer view of what the bandwidth usage was like on a day-to-day basis, even down to the hour if needed. You can do this by dragging and dropping your cursor over a selected area on the graph. You can reset the zoom or save a copy as an image by clicking the relevant buttons under the graph.

For Broadband based connections, we store bandwidth usage metrics for up to a month, this means you are to view the usage graphs for any time needed providing it is within the last 30 days.

Locate the "Leased Line" section on the left. Within this, you can click into the Leased Line circuit of interest. This will provide you with detailed information relating to the selected circuit.

From this page you can see the IPs relating to the circuit, such as the public IP range assigned under the customer network, the corucit provider, circuit ref and the speed of the connection.

Leased Line Usage Graphs

Within the circuit page, on the left you will find the "Usage" option. You may need to select the relevant interface from the dropdown under the timeframe setting. The correct interface will be labelled with the circuit reference, which you can find on the Leased Lines details page under Circuit Ref. Once selected, this should display a graph providing a clear overview of the Download and Upload usage data, as illustrated below.

You can zoom into specific time frames to get a closer view of what the bandwidth usage was like on a day-to-day basis, even down to the hour if needed. You can do this by modifying the timeframe above the graphs with the start and end dates you require. You can also save a copy as an image by clicking the blue download button at the top right of the usage section.

Once you've selected a specific site, locate the "DarkLight" section on the left. Within this you can click into the DarkLight circuit of interest. This will provide you with detailed information relating to the selected circuit.

From this page you can see the IPs relating to the circuit such as the public IP range assigned under the IP details and the service speed.

DarkLight Usage Graphs

Within the circuit page, on the left you will find the "Usage" option. Selecting this should display a graph providing a clear overview of the Download and Upload usage data for the last 7 days, as illustrated below.

For Darklight circuits, bandwidth usage metrics are retained for 1 week.
